Shoe-Club in association with its customers has made a humble beginning towards contribution for the society and environment and contributes through an independent non-profit foundation “GTFC Foundation” with its HQ in Chennai – India.

This initiative was started in mid 2004 when Buying Directors from one of our UK based customers was in India visiting factories across the continent and felt that he should make some contribution back to the society from which their company benefits by receiving Quality Footwear and Good prices.

Buyers working with us have the option to participate in this noble cause as the foundation is focused on building a nucleus for supporting education to children first in the state of Tamil Nadu, the state which contributes more than 51% of India’s footwear export.

GTFC Foundation organizes children welfare days and supports complete running of the school in the suburbs of Chennai – India.

In the next 5 years GTFC Foundation aims to establish itself as prominent social contributor in South and North India with focus on providing primary education to underprivileged children.

Shoe Club Celebrated this Christmas with under privileged children at HOPE Foundation School, which it supports.

Mast. Samridh Seth, son of Mr. Utsav Seth had received £ 85 as his birthday gift from his classmates at school in September 2007.  He was given a few options of toys to buy for himself by his parents and Samridh had asked for two days time to think over what toy he wanted to buy.  The next day quite surprisingly and to the astonishment of his parents and everyone, Samridh said: “I want to donate my birthday gift to poor children and would like to buy a pair of shoes to school children.”   It is something everyone has been surprised that this young boy of six years wanted to do with his money.  He has donated a pair of shoe and socks to the children at HOPE Foundation School.

Speaking at the Christmas celebration, Mr. B. Nanban, Joint Managing Director, Shoe Club said
“It is our prime responsibility to contribute something back to the society.  In a world where education has become the biggest differentiating factor providing primary education to children of under privileged would be the best and lasting.”

Mr. Ritesh Tandon citing the example of Samridh’s idea of contributing his gift towards buying shoes for underprivileged children, the younger generation need to be taught the values of sharing so they may grow up to be responsible citizens.
